[00:00:01] Speaker A: Hey, y'all. [00:00:02] Speaker B: My name is Brandon Bush. [00:00:03] Speaker C: I'm Kayden Petras. [00:00:04] Speaker A: And I'm Carly Faulkner. And we are the host of Spark by Revolutionaire, where we pass the mic. [00:00:08] Speaker C: To people whose voices are not always. [00:00:10] Speaker B: Heard and have candid and informative conversations. [00:00:14] Speaker A: Last episode. [00:00:16] Speaker B: Last episode. [00:00:17] Speaker C: Good lord, this is so bittersweet. [00:00:19] Speaker A: I know. [00:00:20] Speaker C: You know, I really enjoyed both of you talking to you. [00:00:24] Speaker A: I enjoyed the way we all gelled together. And it was just. The chemistry was, like, 10 out of 10. [00:00:31] Speaker B: It was. No, literally from the conversation that we had that literally started us off, it was just like. Even though that was a bigger conversation with a lot more people, the way that we specifically came together, I think is the most beautifully poetic thing about this. Especially like. Like y'all were saying, like, we just mesh so well. Like, it's been so seamless and so amazing, and it's been amazing getting to. [00:00:58] Speaker C: Know y'all, and I love how we all come from different backgrounds and are still able to share that and come together. It's really beautiful. I think what I most enjoy is our, like, after talk debriefs. [00:01:08] Speaker A: Yes. [00:01:09] Speaker C: We always reflect. We always have some good things, some good gems to share, especially with Nia in the back. [00:01:14] Speaker A: So shout out to Nia. Big shout out to Nia, period. Just keeping this afloat and then just making sure that, like, we have a space to do this and to just be our creative selves and come out of our shell and make this a comfortable experience. And I feel like every time we've had a guest on, my favorite moment is every single time then saying, this really flowed. Like, this really did feel like a conversation, and I gratify it really is. And, like, understanding what questions to ask, how to talk to people, and having these conversations about, you know, sometimes very big topics, very important, serious topics. [00:01:52] Speaker B: I'm really, really excited to see where this ends up going and seeing, like, you know, what season two is going. [00:01:59] Speaker C: To be, you know, important and impactful. Part of this is that this is going to be shared to people who, you know, I think it would really help. You know, this is going to be little messages, little gems that they can listen to and, you know, so they won't feel alone. [00:02:14] Speaker A: Exactly. [00:02:15] Speaker C: And I think that's beautiful. You know, as we go into our careers and our own individual path, this will be something that we can look back on and say, you know, we really did it. We really did our part, and we're continuing to do our part. [00:02:27] Speaker A: I think it's going to be such a relatable experience, people listening to this while they run their errands. Because these are topics that we all know is just around, like, in people, the back of people's minds, like, as they just go through life. And it's just nice to hear other people navigating it as well and speaking to others about this, knowing that it's something that's not just a Twitter discourse. [00:02:49] Speaker B: Right, right, right. [00:02:49] Speaker A: And that's really how. Yeah, it's very much a compassionate con. [00:02:54] Speaker C: Very much so. [00:02:55] Speaker B: Being able to navigate these conversations in a way that's educated and informed, but also still very real and candid. I think that that speaks to the power of not only just like, the podcast itself and what it represents, but Revolutionaire overall and all of the love labor that has gone into this from all parties involved. And so I'm very grateful. [00:03:23] Speaker C: Very grateful. [00:03:24] Speaker A: Extremely. [00:03:25] Speaker C: I've definitely grown. I've gotten out of my bubble of school. I've been able to make new friends. Yes. [00:03:32] Speaker B: Yes. [00:03:34] Speaker A: I think it's so close to you. So you. [00:03:39] Speaker C: Just feel like I've discovered a part of myself that I want to keep building on. [00:03:43] Speaker A: Yes. Like, this is like my baby. This is just something that I really care about, and I'm just really excited to see how it's going to be received. [00:03:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:53] Speaker A: Because I just know it comes from such a good place. [00:03:56] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:56] Speaker A: It's only going to a genuine place. A genuine place. It's only going to give that out. It's only going to just, like, magnify. [00:04:03] Speaker C: Yeah. Right. Shout out to Revolutionaire for bringing us together. [00:04:07] Speaker A: Shout out to Nia. [00:04:08] Speaker B: Shout out to Nia. [00:04:10] Speaker A: Shout out to Justice. Justice. [00:04:13] Speaker C: Nia's been the behind the scenes woman in all of our episodes. And we're so grateful for, you know, having this opportunity where we can speak and have our voices heard to the people that want to hear it. [00:04:24] Speaker B: Also shout out our editor. [00:04:26] Speaker A: Also shout out to our. [00:04:28] Speaker B: Oh, Lord, I know you doing work. [00:04:31] Speaker A: And. And to think that this all started from a dinner. [00:04:34] Speaker B: A dinner. [00:04:35] Speaker A: I can't believe it. I really can't. [00:04:37] Speaker C: Food be bringing people together. [00:04:39] Speaker A: It really does. [00:04:40] Speaker C: Food, Loblo. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Drinks water. Amazing. [00:04:44] Speaker C: Just, we talked about a lot. We talked about reproductive rights. That's the community service. [00:04:49] Speaker A: This heteronormativity. [00:04:52] Speaker B: Financial literacy. [00:04:54] Speaker A: Adulting. [00:04:55] Speaker C: Adulting. We had some hot topics. I mean, yes, we talked about things that were relevant in our lives and we hope are relevant to the viewers. [00:05:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:05] Speaker C: And we're passionate about very much. Hope you felt that. [00:05:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:05:09] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:10] Speaker B: To whoever is going to be listening, this is our love Letter to y'all. [00:05:14] Speaker A: Our labor of love. [00:05:16] Speaker B: We really do appreciate anybody who tunes into this and, you know, is willing to hear our voices. Like we talk about on these episodes in our intros, we don't really get these opportunities for us to be able to talk about these things in the real world and have it feel like it matters. And so, you know, even if one person listens to it or nobody listens to it, I'm just grateful that we have the opportunity for us to, like I said, genuinely come together on something that we were all passionate about and passionate about seeing come to fruition. And so I think that that's going to show no matter what. And I'm proud of us. [00:05:59] Speaker A: 100%, very proud of us. [00:06:02] Speaker C: I love you guys. I love you, too. [00:06:06] Speaker B: This has been an amazing time. [00:06:09] Speaker A: This is amazing. So thank you for tuning in. If you made it to this last episode, we just want to say thank you. Thank you so much. We hope you liked it as much as we loved it, and we just can't wait to see what's in store. So, that being said, I guess we're signing out now. [00:06:28] Speaker C: Signing out. [00:06:29] Speaker A: This is Sparkler Evolutionary. [00:06:31] Speaker B: All right, see you later. [00:06:39] Speaker A: It.
